Online sessions run on Zoom with a shared digital whiteboard; you get the board PDF and a short written recap after every session. In-person sessions are available in Bellevue, WA. Both formats use the same materials and plan.
The diagnostic gives us a baseline in week one. Most students see measurable movement — practice-test sections, quiz grades — inside 6–8 weeks. Real score jumps come from finishing the plan, not from the first month.
We look at the data before you have to ask. Progress is checked weekly against the plan's checkpoints, and if a student is off track at the mid-point review we change the plan — different skill order, different session structure, more or fewer topics. What we don't do is keep selling the same hours and hope. And if I don't think more tutoring is what a student needs, I'll say that too.
Tactics help — but only on top of math the student actually knows. Every plan here rebuilds the underlying skills first, and we don't teach a timing strategy for a question type someone can't yet solve untimed. Students who learn only tricks plateau; students who fix the math keep gaining after the tricks run out.
Yes: 30–45 minutes of targeted problems between sessions, chosen from your skills map. No 200-question packets. If homework isn't getting done, we talk about why before assigning more.
That phrase almost always means there are two or three foundational gaps nobody ever fixed. We find them in the diagnostic, repair them in order, and the "bad at math" story usually goes away with the gaps.
Test prep (SAT/AP/IB) is 1-on-1 only — the plans are too individual to share. School Math offers small groups of 2–4 when levels match.
You're billed when you book (single sessions) or when a package starts. Packages just pre-buy hours at a lower rate — they never lock you into a schedule. Unused hours are refundable within 30 days.
Reschedule or cancel free with 24 hours' notice. Inside 24 hours, the session is charged — that slot was held for you.
SAT (digital format), ACT Math, AP Calculus AB/BC, IB Math AA/AI (SL and HL), and US school curricula from Algebra 1 through Precalculus.
